I had the appetizer sampler everything was overcooked almost burnt the chips were pretty good but you really can't mess up chips the ranch dressing is really good. one of the biggest complaints that I have about Hillsville restaurant is the sampler and the chips were $14 I think that's a bit much because if you're hungry forget it. The waitress of the day is a bit stale in personality. Everything in this restaurant is very repetitious and you can tell by the service and the food. Overall however I really do like the food because it's close by and I like their subs especially during the day because they are priced reasonably. They really do need to make some improvements.
Grate little family restaurant food is wonderful and service is friendly
If I could give zero stars I would. My family ordered delivery on a Thursday night. Every thing was fine. An hour passed and we haven't received anything. We called to check the status and the lady on the phone kept yelling at other people in the restaurant, but finally told me that the driver had left and they had been busy tonight. Okay, fine. ANOTHER HOUR passes and we still have not received anything. At this point we just want a refund. We call and are told they are busy and the driver has left. Same stuff as before. This time we ask for a refund. The lady (still screaming at other people and some man named Andre) finally tells us she cannot do that and our order will be there soon. We firmly let her know we want a refund and we will be sending the food back because two hours for delivery is crazy. She says that there is no manager there. I ask for the manager's name so I can speak to them at another time. She says that there is no manager, that they are under new management. This of course sounds farfeteched. Another person is put on the line and starts going on about how busy they were. At this point, it doesn't matter how busy they were, two hours is ridiculous! I again ask for the managers information and she first says she cannot give it out and then says they have no manager right now. I ask, "you mean to tell me you have no one operating over an entire restaurant, yet it is now under new management?" She proceeds to tell me I can call back another time and hangs up. I've heard horror stories about this restaurant and was hoping the new owners would turn it around, but clearly the issue is not just the management but the extremely rude wait staff. Will NEVER go again and we are pursuing our refund by showing up in person if we have to.
Well, tried and tried to give them a fair shot. Food is ok...however they do not keep their word and if you order for delivery chances are the order will be wrong. Used to frequent this place a lot. Will not be back.
Good service here, and decent food. I really enjoy their meat and three lunch, but the rest of the menu is just alright.
